Following the beta launch of Home in Europe on Monday, it appears that the beta has gone live in North America as well. A poster on the official PlayStation forums (http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board/message?board.id=ps3home&thread.id=20431) said that the Home beta had appeared in the PlayStation Store along with all the other new content and was available to download (alas, only for people accepted into the closed beta). Well I got an invite but must of not be accepted. Maybe the next beta I'll be in:(

Well I was excited when I got a e-mail to sign up for this beta. Not many ps3 owners got that e-mail. Sad to say I havn't got in yet but I just got a e-mail:

Dear G.A.P. member,
Thanks for your recent interest in the Home beta test. Unfortunately, we have all the testers we need for this phase of the test. But stay tuned—there may be future Home beta test opportunities coming soon. Keep an eye on your inbox and be sure to sign up for the next round!
Thanks again!

When the beta for Sony's much-vaunted Playstation Home service launched a couple of weeks ago, many fans including myself were met with disappointment at the small number of beta invites floating around. Sony guaranteed more would be coming soon, though, and, sure enough, today several internet forums are receiving reports of more Home invites arriving to users.
How do you find out if you're in this time? According to the early reports, it's as simple as turning on your PS3 and checking out the PlayStation Store. If you're lucky, the download should appear on the frontpage of the Store. Could a stronger beta push for Home starting on the same day that the Halo 3 open beta launches be a calculated move? And when will Sony really start opening Home up? Keep your eyes peeled to the interwebs, folks.
