growing up i always respected people in the military....and wanted to become a sniper

now that im getting a bit older and the economy has went to shit as well as being able to find a good job ive decided that im gonna go into the military....i never really looked into it but now that i have started ive decided that i want to be a marine...the failure rate on the army is only like 7% because they have lowered their standards on recruits and from what i see the army isnt really respected as much.....they seem to favor the quantity over quality idea

while the failure rate for marines is 25% and its said to be the hardest training of all military branches, now im not saying anything is wrong with the army i respect them just as much....its just my understanding so far

bottom line is tho i was wandering if any of you guys are military (army, navy, marine, airforce..anything) and can fill me in on some secrets or hints or just things that would be good to know before going in....i plan on taking the next 6-12 months to get ready and pimped but after that im heading in..100% sure, so any info is appreciated
