Router needed or No..?

I decided I will make somewhat of an attempt to come back and play with you guys once in a while.

Question: Do I need a router or can I run my 50 foot ethernet cable from the modem into my playstation 2 and 3????

i got a 50ft cable and it works fine. do u have wireless?

Nah. Currently the only thing I have is my computer directly plugged up to the modem with the basic ethernet cable that the comcast modem came with....

I have no router... no wireless...

Can I swap the "stock" modem ethernet cable with my 50ft ethernet cable and run it from my modem into the playstation... ??

yeah it'll work. If it doesn't, unplug you routers power cord and let it sit for a minute.

already got it workin and been on but thanks shit worked soon as i plugged it in
