According to an interview with Epic Games' senior producer Rod Fergusson, developers for the Xbox 360 may be reaching the outer edges of what is graphically possible with the console. In an interview with Gamasutra, the Gears of War / Gears of War 2 head says that recent advances and refinements are pushing the system further than expected, though he still believes there's some room to grow. In Fergusson's words: "I think we're certainly approaching the upper end of it, as far as what developers are able to do with it, but just looking at all the demos we saw today -- ours and others -- it's clear that all the games just keep improving, and keep pushing that bar." Of course, there's a long gap between pushing a system to its limits and starting to look around for its replacement, though since we all know another iteration of the Xbox is inevitable, none of this news should come as any surprise. They have a name for things like this... progress.

cmon crunk..lol ps3 cost alot more than the 360 and lot of have launch 60's that were 599 so its not a matter of being broke..lol but a next gen system should have more of a life than 4 years. it just doesnt show a committment. where is the original xbox?..done and the ps2 is still like the highest selling console and still putting up good numbers. gates doesnt care about the customers its about the almighty dollar. so keep buying those systems every 4 years. but seriously maybe they should have slowed down instead of rushing out a system to beat sony and made a better one with better features and reliability

PS2 is still living because its the only way Sony is making money. Its still losing hella money on PS3 and has to bring money in from somewhere. I don't think there is anything wrong with the 360 at all but if they are going to release a new system I will get it

nah they rushed it tho.. no hdmi or bluetooth shit like that. and the red ring shit is from poor design. they need to take their time and make it right and if tht means waiting a year or so then fine. shit sony did that and the system is nice.. all the features, granted the online needs some work. and sony started off slow basically because of price. ps2 is still king tho man u cant deny that.. m$ has shown no committment to the original system at all..lol
