SOCOM beta dated for September 1st

Details regarding the upcoming SOCOM: Confrontation open beta have today been revealed on the official website (http://socom.us.playstation.com/default.aspx). If you want to get involved, there are two ways to do so. Firstly, drop $5 on a pre-order at Gamestop. This not only rewards you with an access voucher, but also allows you to invite two friends into the game as well. The Gamestop beta will begin on September 1st and run until the end of the month.

The other way of getting into the beta is to purchase the first episode of Qore. Doing so will allow you to download the beta client directly and play from September 8th until the 30th. This entire post is only relevant to Americans, though the official site does state that other territories will get acces and that this will be be announced by their representative SCE offices.

There's nothign you can find in qore that you cant get somewhere else. The news you find in there. With in one hour of qores release you can find that news on the net somewhere. Betas.....? Well the socom beta you can get from gamestop and play it a week earlier than the beta you get with qore. Basically if you paying for qore... You're wasting your money... Qore is overrated and is the dumbest thing sony could have done. But with every good thing a fuckup isnt too far around the corner

Qore is for the casual gamer. Its not for us. We are forum and info junkies. Thats why I only bought the 2.99 issue, for any Socom info I could get. I also already reserved my copy of Confro, like a month ago. My GameStop gets the codes next week. So either way, I'll be playng Confro from Sep1st till the 30th.

Qore is for 10-17 yr old kids that play games as a hobby. Not to mention the thousands of gamers that dont even go on gaming websites. Not everyone are GEEKS like us!

most of the 10-17 year olds are more hardcore than us. They usually have more time to play. In the summer there is no school so fuck they just sit around and play games. During school as soon as they get out they runnin home to play socom and every other game. Shit at that age thats when you first learn how to hack.
