No More Quick sniping!!!!!

I for one never cared either way about quick sniping. I can see both sides. It does take skill to QS, but on the other hand its not realistic at all. Well for all you that were looking forward to QS in Confrontation, Boo Hoo, its gone!

I'm sure many will complain, but I remember Socom before Quick Sniping and it was just as fun. I remember snipers snipers laying down in the box on the wall side of Foxhunt. I remember snipers above the cave the entire round on Foxhunt, or laying by the bridge in the river with mines, lol. At leat now a gun fight wont look like two FROGS trying to Fuck one another.

So for you Quick Snipers, better change your game up!

and the players moved slow, itll happen regardless lol..unless if you have a sniper they dont allow you to jump and shit

Yeah, but I dont remember Zipper ever saying "There will be no Quick Sniping in Socom 3 or CA. If Slant 6 took the time to post "No quick Sniping" they most definately know what it is, and probably took measures to make sure its not in the game. Besides Slant 6 really seems to listen to the community, the community is mostly newbs and scrubs. We all know the newbs are the ones who complain about QS. So, if people find a way to QS, then they will probably just patch it.

Like I said, I can really care less if its in the game of not. By not having it in the game it just makes it easier for gunners like me to own all you snipers.

nothing in the game is realistic..

in real life you dont:

see urself in 3rd person..
run forever whether sprinting or not
jump out into a gun fight with 1 or more enemy targets on purpose..
throw a random grenade over a building hoping for a kill
carry that many weapons and not make a lot of fucking noise while running
hold ur trigger down while running violently through an enemy fortress..

if u say u dont mind its not real... then get rid of these things and ill think its fair..

I agree with you Scream, a video game is a video game not real life. The only reason Quick Sniping was removed was THE NOOBS! They complained and complained and complained. And quess what, they are the majority posting on forums instead of playing the damn game. Slant Six is a Forum following dev! They do what the masses have been asking for. The masses on the forums that is.

Just read the comments on Socom.com, its a joke how many people are giving props to Slant 6 for removing QS!

First, i've been telling you guys this for like a year. They originally announced this like last year in a magazine interview i read. They gonna make so that when you first scope in its kind of blurry so you cant see for like the first second or half second. I guess cuz in real life they dont just look in the scope and its all roses and wine. They have to adjust their scope. So its gonna be like that. So if you wanna try QS in confrontation you gonna look foolish when you are running stop scope in and have to wait a second and then shoot at nothing. I've been saying this forever. I mean if you want action right away pick up an assault rifle. I never really complained about QS but i always thought it was a cheesy pussy way to get a kill. Its basically a one shot kill and the really good ones could take out 2 or 3 gunners in front of them. For instance this is when i really thought it was a shit thing. In socom 3 im playing a small map run and gun in antenora. They still had sniper rifles on so this dude is

running around small map antenora with a snipe rifle and if you were in front of him you were dead. Dude was dropping 20 kills on that map every time. You had to shoot him in the back or gang up on him. Shit was so lame. Video games are exactly what they are. Video games. But games such as socom or CoD are intended to be based on realism. But to a degree there are alot of unrealistic things some of them scream mentioned. But i always thought QS was to far past what you should be able to do. I mean yeah so you can sprint forever. But they fixed that in today's games. In real life those military guys can run for miles. And in real life they do throw random nades to cover themselves so they arent getting blasted at when they try to move. But little things like wearing all that equipment and not making a sound i can understand but QS and that are way different. QS just shouldnt have been allowed b/c it took alot of what realism they had out of the game. I see QS now who cant sit back and shoot the broad side of

a barn but then they can run out into the middle of the action and stop and scope and shoot all at once and get a kill. I guess im just an old socom 1 guy when sniping was legit. I've seen snipers who hold back and can clutch a round b/c they were good at hiding and sniping dudes. Plus i would rather have snipers who hold back b/c they can watch the gunners backs. I dont how many wars i've been in and seen our so called QS die first and then we had no snipers and no one watching our backs. Get an assault rifle if you wanna get up in the action. I dont know maybe its just the socom 1 in me.
