Key moment: Kimbo made his first punch of the third round count, a wild haymaker that opened a horrible cut on Thompson’s left ear.
Analysis: Kimbo came out victorious but sure showed he has a long way to go before he can be considered a real heavyweight threat. Kimbo struggled through much of the first round, getting put onto the mat several times, but demonstrated some skill in getting back to his feet. Kimbo wobbled Thompson with a couple uppercuts in the second, but later found himself on the wrong end of a series of elbows on the ground. In the third, Kimbo connected on a home run of a punch that cut Thompson open. He then followed up with a punishing exchange. The crowd was not happy the fight was stopped, but Thompson was wobbling and was clearly a punch or two away from being put out.

Did anyone watch this fight? I was hoping to see Kimbo kick some ass but it wasnt much of a fight if you ask me. By round 2 both fighters were exhausted. It was like watching 2 fat people run up 10 flights of stairs and then duke it out. And the end was bullshit, yes Kimbo would of most likely knocked whitey out but it didnt look like he had enough. And did you guys see James Thompson ear. It looked like it had a brain of its own!

thats how alot of great fighters ears look it comes from having a carreer in mma if u have 20 + fights your gonna have ears like that look a randy cotour.

reason is when they strike they gaurd the face and leave there ears unpretected all day.

im use to see ears like that..with me tryn to do mma and all.. and plus bein a big fan of jus watchin it on tv... that dudes ear had somethin else goin on...

like iss said.. a lot of their ears look like that.. but this guy had the most xtreme case i ever saw.. and his other ear was perfectly normal..

as for the fight... i dont feel kimbo won.. i thought it was even and due to the cut. he got the tKo (pun intended).. that guy could take a hit the whole fight and seemed to be wearin kimbo out.. usin the old rocky balboa method.. lol my fav. fight was kaitlynn young vs gina carano... for a fighter.. gina is pretty hot.. she fucked that girl up.. and i was happy to see robbie lawler make is network tv debut since he hasnt been on since UFC..

kimbo has no stamina and the other guy could only fight him on the ground..he was going for komora and kimbo jus flipped him over..then he had him in the choke hold aka gietine or however u spell it and he got out of that then he had him on the ground for good min hitting him in the head...kimbo would have knocked him out last round it was coming..did u see the guys eyes? looked like his eyes were rolling in the back of his head..lol he was going down sooner ..

kimbo threw alot of hard hits but when he got knocked down it was all thompson... tell you what the one round though kimbo was up against the fence and thompson was ppounding him and shit the bell saved his ass... but the cauliflower ear was nasty when it got hit...

had 2 underground fights at heavyweights gym underground meaning no weight classes u just fight who ever our trainer puts u up against i gonna train at texas mma which is a pro camp but i need to get rid of some bills first.

I think if that had been any other fighter when thompson had kimbo pinned against the cage and was raining down elbows and Kimbo just laid there that fight would have been stopped. But since Kimbo is being protected right now the ref let the fight go. Another reason they had Kimbo fighting Thompson instead Brett Rogers a guy who destroyed Thompson in his last fight.

Yea a beast at streetfighting not MMA..Sorry but he has no ground work at all...I prob know more...He is a brawler not a MMA fighter...He would get worked...Trust me..Look at Brock lesner big street brawler...Ankle lock took all that brawn and put it to rest..Now i think kimbo would beat the shit outta brock but really they will never put him in the ring with anybody that will shure enough take him on the ground cause he will lose and also lose his hype...Yea he is all over the tube but these guys he is fighting in the streets all stand up really..
