Optimatch is the only ranked Servers!

According to Socom.com Optimatch servers will be the only ranked servers in the game. Although the classic Socom Briefing rooms will be available for custom games, and a classic Socom feel, ALL CLASSIC BRIEFING ROOMS will be UNRANKED.

Wow, was my first response. This is a huge mistake by Slant Six. I urge all of you Socom fans to protest this decision by Slant Six on Socom.com. If we do nothing we may see alot of simular aspects from COD4.

This is old news. IcePick has been bitching about this all over the forum. Either way its good to let everyone know so there are no surprises. I personally don't care cause I will be buying the game for the fun of playing and won't be worrying about rank.

The rank is not the problem. The problem is the fact that its gonna split up all the players. Your gonna have half the people playing in custom rooms and half the people playing in Optimatch. Unfortunatly, alot of people play for rank. I just cant believe Slant Six fucked this up.

ive been screaming my ass off about that....i would say atleast 80% if not more of the people are on your side.....hopefully it will get changed....closed beta is getting close

optimatch, slowfoo, is like cod4. the way you make a party and find a game. And i dont really think its gonna split up the ppl that bad. its really not gonna be much different that Socom Ca b/c either way the ppl that want ranked will play in ranked and the ppl that dont will play in unranked. most ppl do like playing in ranked rooms so yeah the majority of the ppl will be playing in the ranked part. so the split wont be that big of a deal. whats wrong with playing for rank anyways? i jsut dont see the point if you arent playing for stats and rank and shit to keep track of how you are doing. It would be like playing for nothing. besides better competition in ranked rooms

well yeah party match does suck i dont like that. im not for optimatch its just that 40 said that it will split the players. which i would have to disagree since most ppl play for rank so i was just saying that i think the majority of ppl would be in the ranked area. but yeah optimatch does suck. socom had the best server system ever and they just need to stick with that. they trying to change to much it seems
