PSP, the device that continues to perform random technological feats other than playing games, can now transform into a cell phone with video conferencing capabilities. BBC News (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/6683231.stm) reports that software developed by European company BT will allow PSP owners to dial each other up and even interact with select BT-designed phones.
BT says they'll eventually support interaction with PCs, fixed lines and mobiles and will initially only be available in the UK. If it's popular, however, expect an American company to jump on the bandwagon pretty quick. More details on how the software works is set to be unveiled during Germany's Leipzig Games Convention in August.
